Should the three seniors retire from one day cricket? Not necessarily!
I don’t think the three seniors need to be retired as long as they are picked based on their performance. Ganguly was dropped once, for a long time, but been brought back again, because the younger guys didn’t show they can replace him. International cricket is very competitive, and one needs to file their best 11 to win. It would not be wise to drop the three seniors and hope to win every game. However, to encourage youth, and build a team for next world cup, we can rotate these seniors, select one/two for a series and rest the others. It would be tough to decide whether to rest one or two and whom to rest.
